Tigard Kiwanis

The Kiwanis Club of Tigard is located in Tigard, Oregon and is the sponsor to both the Sherwood Key Club and the Sherwood Builders Club.  The club has twenty members, ranging in age from 18 to 90.  Several members have been in Kiwanis for more than 25 years, and two members are former Pacific Northwest District Governors.  Besides sponsoring the youth programs, the club has a signature project where they work with an organization titled, “Packed with Pride”.  It is a food collection and distribution program for the families in the Tigard School District.  Other major projects that they support include the Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp, (for people with disabilities), and the Kiwanis Doernbecher Children’s Cancer Program.  The twenty members average 250 to 350 hours of service a month and fundraise and donate approximately $10,000 a year to a variety of worthy causes.  The club takes great pride in sponsoring the Sherwood Key Club.
